Emeco

Emeco was founded in Baltimore in 1944 to make lightweight, fire resistant, practical and ultra strong chairs for the US Navy; the classic '1006 Navy Chair' was born. Made to last at least 150 years it was light, beautiful, yet simple and incredibly strong. Since then they have continued to design and handcraft chairs that are so strong and stunning they are passed down through generations.

To keep the commitment of offering furniture of unique design Emeco has worked with the worlds best designers including Philippe Starck, Norman Foster, and Frank Gehry to make chairs that live up to the highest standards of look and feel. Emeco's aim is and always was to design chairs and furniture that make and give a true visual difference.
